Hue Hotel Puerto Princesa brought color to leisure and celebrated in style when it marked its 8th anniversary in early June.
The hotel, located in the bustling provincial capital of Palawan, prepared fun, fresh and unforgettable experiences for guests and travelers to enjoy. The province, which provided the backdrop to the festivities, is itself a recipient of various accolades as best islands in the world from international award-giving bodies and publications.
The fete kicked off at La-Ud restaurant, the hotel’s trendy all-day dining outlet, as it introduced flavorful bites from its revamped menu during the first night of the three-day festivities.

Executive chef Edge Limoico prepared a meticulously curated set of main dishes including tuna salad, curry mee soup, smoked pork ribs, savory shank, among others.
The hotel also introduced its own version of the boodle fight which offered a generous selection of Filipino favorites including gourmet seafood, pork, chicken, as well as vegetable dishes, enough to satisfy the cravings of 10 or more family members or barkadas.
The next day, guests were made to choose their own adventure from Palawans’s famous tourist destinations: the stunning seascapes of Puerto Princesa on a Honda Bay tour, or journey into the awe-inspiring Puerto Princesa Underground River, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Bright Buds Play Club
Hue Hotel Puerto Princesa also opened the Bright Buds Play Club, perfect for families who want to create unforgettable memories with their toddlers and kids. Kids and kids at heart were treated to a magic show, games, toys, and non-stop giggles.
Bright Buds Play Club is an exciting new addition to the family-friendly offerings at Hue Hotel Puerto Princesa. Designed with young learners and playful hearts in mind, Bright Buds is more than just a play area, it’s a vibrant, safe, and creatively stimulating environment where children can enjoy, learn and grow through play.

Catering to both local families and traveling guests, the play club features a range of interactive zones, age-appropriate play equipment, and educational activities that encourage imagination, social development, and motor skills.
It also enhances the hotel’s appeal as a destination for families visiting Palawan. Whether it’s a quick play session or a full day of fun, Bright Buds offers a delightful haven for kids and peace of minds for parents.
With its bright interiors, cheerful design, and a welcoming atmosphere, Bright Buds is set to become a go-to space for enriching children’s experiences in Puerto Princesa.

The Flamingo Social
A dazzling finale of music, cocktails, and unforgettable company capped off the weekend full of fun with the grand launch of The Flamingo Social, the hotel’s pool bar located at its roof deck.
Alec Yatco, Hue group general manager, led the guests in the celebration amid rain showers brought about by a low pressure area, which did not dampen the spirits of the guests who were ready to party all-night.
The pool bar also introduced Isla (EYE-la), the globe-trotting flamingo who brings vibrant energy and flair wherever she lands. After exploring the world, she’s finally made her way to the heart of Palawan—and she’s ready to share her tropical adventures poolside, where the sun is golden, and the cocktails are nothing short of extraordinary.

The Flamingo Social specializes in boundary-pushing craft cocktails made with sustainable ingredients and unexpected, exotic recipes. From transforming food into liquid experiences to repurposing food waste into stunning garnishes, every drink is a creative masterpiece designed to surprise and delight.
Isla comes with four fabulous alter egos, each with a significant twist:
- Classy Isla—Sophisticated and elegant, she serves up cocktails that exude glamour and refinement.
- Breezy Isla—Cool, relaxed, and effortlessly fun—perfect for slow sips under the Palawan sun.
- Mystic Isla—Enigmatic and flavorful, her hints hint at faraway places and secret ingredients.
- Wanderlust Isla—Bold and adventurous, she brings global inspiration to every glass.
