SotoGrande Hotel Baguio ushered in the festive spirit through its Christmas Lighting Ceremony held on the evening of November 30 inside the hotel’s dazzling grand lobby. The iconic symbol of Christmas represents joy, love, and unity, bringing all people together during this special time of the year.
The joyous affair commenced with SotoGrande Hotel Baguio Resident Manager Marco Fetizanan addressing and welcoming guests to the hotel’s first Christmas Tree Lighting and inviting everyone to let this Yuletide Season become a perfect time to pause and cherish the warmth, joy, and connections that truly make life meaningful.
“What better way to usher in this festive season than by coming together to light up our Christmas tree – a beacon of hope, love, and togetherness. This tree is more than just a beautiful decoration, it’s a symbol of the light we can bring into one another’s lives. It reminds us of the joy that comes from giving, the happiness of sharing special moments with loved ones, and the hope that fills our hearts as we look forward to the future,” Fetizanan said.
The event, dubbed as Kislap at Liwanag, truly made guests as well as members of the hotel staff glow in happiness as it visibly reflected on the smiles on their faces. The focal point of the celebration was the splendid Christmas tree beautifully adorned with ornaments made of local materials that truly displayed Filipino craftsmanship. The design concept also showed how SotoGrande Hotel Baguio supports and promotes Filipino creativity by adhering to the Department of Tourism’s theme of Paskong Pinoy.
Apart from Fetizanan, the ceremony was graced by the presence of Benjamin Macadangdang, Executive Assistant – Baguio City Mayor’s Office; Miss Bea, Head of Production and Regional News Group-Luzon; and Julienne Paran, Regional Director at Fashion Designers Alliance Cordillera.
As the tree lit up, everyone gasped in admiration, echoing the festive atmosphere. The exquisite menu curated for the guests was not just one gastronomic fare but also served as a delight to the senses and added a touch of warmth and joy to the occasion.
Moreover, The Knight of Columbus Band of Brothers performed live carol singing, filling the air with timeless Christmas melodies.
“We at SotoGrande Hotel Baguio are honored to be a part of your holiday traditions, and we are deeply grateful for your unwavering support. You are not just our guests – you are part of our community, and this celebration would not be the same without each and every one of you,” concluded Fetizanan.
